10 Secrets to Effectively Use Mops in Cleaning

The good ol’ mop is a great invention really, able to go beyond just clearing bits from a floor surface like with sweeping and offer that extra watered-clean of the surface, and even making it smell better afterwards. Although the principle is simple with just a mop and bucket and some water should suffice, in practice there are a few little tricks to remember to make sure you get the most from it, and if you’re not a regular ‘mopper’, then how to make sure you don’t get caught out:

1. Try and keep toilet ones separate. This is more on the business side, but toilet areas by their nature will tend to have more germs, and so the rule of thumb is to have a separate mop and bucket all together for these areas, as opposed to other non-toilet ones like kitchens and hallways.
